Travel Information

By Road – Conveniently located two miles north of the city centre, Bath Racecourse is just six miles south of junction 18 of the M4 motorway and is well signposted from all major routes to its location on Lansdown Hill. Parking is free and plentiful. Priority car parking is available for £5 on selected fixtures. A taxi from Bath city centre would take approximately 20 – 30 minutes (depending on traffic) and would cost approximately £10.00.

By Bus – The Bath Racecourse shuttle bus costs £5 for a return ticket. Running before and after each racing fixture and at other popular events, the bus picks up from Manvers Street, outside Bath Spa train station. Children aged 15 and under travel free with a fare paying adult.

By Rail – Bath Spa station is only 11 minutes by train from Bristol Temple Meads. You can also reach Bath from both the main London Paddington and South Wales lines. There are also regular connections from Cardiff and Birmingham. You can then transfer from Bath Spa station to the racecourse in under 15 minutes using the Race Day shuttle bus service.

By Air – The racecourse is less than 20 miles from Bristol International Airport. Helicopters may land at the course on a race day, with prior permission from the racecourse, on 01225 424609.
