For the best part of a decade, Hertfordshire-born singer-songwriter James Bay has proven himself to be one of the nation’s finest young singer/songwriters.

Releasing his platinum-certified ‘Chaos And The Calm’ (2014), Bay captured the hearts of the critics and the public alike, with his debut album signalling the way for an artist with a bright future. Featuring the gold-selling single “Hold Back The River” and triple-platinum “Let It Go”, Bay was soon nominated for dozens of awards, taking home two BRIT Awards, two Q Awards, and top honours at the Ivor Novello Awards and ECHO Awards, not to mention GRAMMY® nods in the categories of “Best New Artist,” “Best Rock Album,” and “Best Rock Song”.

Tallying over 3 billion streams to date, he has performed on Saturday Night Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Today Show, Good Morning America and more. He also notably dueted with icons such as Alicia Keys on The Voice and Mick Jagger while supporting The Rolling Stones at Twickenham Stadium in London. In addition to selling out shows on four continents, Epiphone honoured him with his own Limited-Edition James Bay Signature “1966” guitar.

Following the success of 2018’s ‘Electric Light’, he deconstructed his sound to its bare essentials on the ‘Oh My Messy Mind’ EP a year later. It yielded the hit “Peer Pressure” [feat. Julia Michaels], generating 131 million Spotify streams and receiving acclaim from Time, Rolling Stone, and Billboard. No stranger to small stages, Bay spent the majority of 2019 opening for Ed Sheeran on his record-breaking stadium run.

Spending the interim years taking part in the Save The Venues campaign (2020) with a fully livestreamed set as well as launching weekly free guitar lessons for fans on Instagram Live, Bay also spent a month recording in Nashville with powerhouse producer Dave Cobb (Lady Gaga, Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton) and a group of A-list musicians including Nate Smith (Vulfpeck, Brittany Howard) and keyboardist Phil Chandler as he prepares his yet-to-be-released third album.

Most recently, James Bay embarked on an intimate tour for Independent Venue Week 2022 to express his gratitude to the grassroots music venues that made him, sharing new songs and stories each night.

Stepping-up to major stages once more this Summer, James Bay’s performance at Worcester Racecourse will be an unmissable opportunity to reacquaint with Bay’s anthemic back-catalogue as well as hear his long-awaited new material on the live stage.

James announce Bath Racecourse show

Longstanding UK indie icons – JAMES – are delighted to announce an outdoor show at Bath Racecourse this Spring.

Celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year, the Mancunian heroes will be bringing the enduring sounds of their back catalogue, plus highlights from their critically acclaimed new album ‘All The Colours of You’, to the West Country later in 2022.

Headlining the prestigious racecourse on Friday 3rd June 2022, this special ‘Live After Racing’ fixture will include a full day at the races, before a euphoric headline set by James late into the evening.

Tickets are available for presale next Wednesday (9th February) @ 9AM for O2 customers, with general sale available the following Friday.

* * * * *

Since their breakthrough single in 1991, “Sit Down”, James have released 16 studio albums (ten of them hitting the UK Top 10), sold over 25 million albums worldwide, scored four UK Top 10 hits (inc. “Come Home”, “She’s A Star” and “Laid”) and performed countless headline shows & festivals across the world.

Releasing their most recent album in 2021, ‘All The Colours Of You’, the record arrived as one of the most fresh and festival-ready of their 40-year career. Recorded in part before the Covid pandemic struck, the album was produced by the Grammy award-winning Jacknife Lee (U2, REM, Taylor Swift, Snow Patrol, The Killers). On production duties with James for the first time, Lee bought a fresh approach to their sound, working remotely from his studio liaising with Tim (his Topanga Canyon neighbour) liaising with Jim in a daisy chain, reimagining their demos, and capturing the band in all their virtual glory.

The result is the sound of one of Britain’s best bands, deconstructed and reassembled by one of the world’s most renowned producers. A hit with fans and press alike, the album was praised by MOJO as “a late-period peak” and UNCUT as “an album that thrums with a sense of urgency both timely and slightly remarkable”.

Confirming the band’s eternal status as a huge live draw, the UK Winter arena tour for ‘All The Colours Of You’ saw James sell over 60,000 tickets, with the dates selling faster than any previous James tour yet. With the roar of the audiences still ringing in their ears, James are now limbering up for a headline slot at the capacious grounds of Bath Racecourse this Spring, where the band will be looking to reignite the jubilant scenes of those November and December shows once more.

McFly announce huge Live After Racing fixtures for 2022

One of the best loved British bands of the 21st Century – McFLY – will be coming to Surrey and Doncaster for huge outdoor shows next Summer.

Taking over the prestigious grounds of the Lingfield Park Resort on Saturday 4th June 2022 and Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 13th August 2022, these special ‘Live After Racing’ fixtures will offer fans a full day at the races, capped-off by a headline set by Tom, Danny, Dougie and Harry as they blitz through the hits.

Tickets are available for presale next Wednesday (8th December) @ 9AM for O2 customers, with general sale available the following Friday.

* * * * *

With seven UK number-one singles, six top-ten albums, seven arena tours and ten million records sold worldwide, McFly are without question one of the most significant British pop acts this millennium. Since hitting the big time as the youngest band ever to have a debut album go straight to number one — beating The Beatles’ long-standing record – the prodigiously talented four-piece have become one of the nation’s best-loved bands and major stars in their own right.

Outside of McFly Tom has become a bestselling children’s author; Danny a TV mainstay with his regular appearances as a coach on The Voice Kids; Dougie formed alternative-rock band INK and is a passionate environmental campaigner; and Strictly winner Harry is often seen presenting on The One Show sofa, as well as starring in the hit dance show Rip it Up.

In 2019 McFly announced their return to touring with a triumphant sold-out show at the O2 in November 2019, followed by a UK and Brazil Arena Tour due to happen in March and May 2020 (which were later postponed in light of global events). Finding new and innovative ways to connect with fans, the band overcame the obstacles of the pandemic to write, record, promote and release their sixth album ‘Young Dumb Thrills’ in 2020. Performances on Graham Norton, Britain’s Got Talent and Ant & Dec, as well as A List records across Radio 2, saw ‘Young Dumb Thrills’ enter the chart at #2, second only to the biggest selling album of the year from AC/DC.

Fast forward to the summer of 2021 and McFly could be seen up and down the country playing at an array of glorious Summer Festivals across the UK. Reacquainting fans with pop smashes such as “All About You”, “5 Colours in Her Hair”, “Shine A Light”, “Obviously”, “Star Girl”, and countless other hits from their glistening catalogue; the shows found a band in exhilarating form, with crowds jubilantly singing along to classics as well as embracing new tracks like “Happiness” and “Tonight Is The Night” with open arms.

As McFly extend their tour dates for ‘Young Dumb Thrills’ into 2022, fans at Lingfield Park Resort and Doncaster Racecourse can expect a spectacle of pure un-adulterated pop-punk fun, and maybe even the appearance of a giant pink teddy bear in their impressive stage set-up too…

Taking place on Saturday 14th May 2022 (Uttoxeter) and Saturday 6th August 2022 (Lingfield), these special ‘Live After Racing’ shows will offer spectators a full day of races at the prestigious arenas, followed by a set of wall-to-wall hits from one of pop’s most enduring electronic acts.

Pioneers of the British New Wave/Synth scene, The Human League dominated the airwaves and charts throughout the 80s with their dark yet stylish post punk electronica, which remains as fresh, current and highly influential today as it ever did.

Emerging from the infamous Sheffield scene of the time, it would be founding member Philip Oakey who would take the band on to major commercial success after recruiting female vocalists: Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley, all of whom remain in the group to this day. With a distinctive three-person vocal and a cutting-edge electronic sound at their disposal, The Human League would go on to release nine studio albums (five of which went Top 20) and 15 Top 20 singles throughout the 1980s and 1990s including “Mirror Man“, “(Keep Feeling) Fascination“, “The Lebanon“, “Human” (a US No. 1) and “Tell Me When“. Widely regarded as leaders of the second British Invasion of the US music market and, to this day they remain one of the most highly played bands on MTV worldwide and have sold more than 20 million records worldwide and counting.

2021 marks the 40th Anniversary of one of the most prominent releases in their catalogue: ‘DARE’. Along with the infamous: “Don’t You Want Me” (a single that made the 1981 Xmas No.1 slot and was top of the charts for 5 weeks), its other classic singles including “Love Action”, “The Sound Of The Crowd”, “Open Your Heart” and “The Things That Dreams Are Made Of”, would propel The Human League to international superstardom. Earning a Brit Award the following year, the band would continue to grace the top 10 for the next fifteen years and have experienced a resurgence in popularity and commercial success in every decade that has followed. Credited with giving birth to a whole new era in music, fashion, club-culture and beyond, this year The Human League are rightfully celebrating its landmark anniversary four decades on; with sell-out shows in some of the UK’s biggest venues a testament to its unwavering appeal.

Judge Jules to perform huge live show accompanied by full live band

JUDGE JULES has announced a huge live show accompanied by his full live band, and an opening set from HOWARD DONALD at Newcastle Racecourse on 26th June 2021.

One of the scene’s most best-known names for more than three decades, Judge Jules has never shied away from pushing the boundaries in dance music. In 2019, for the first time ever, audiences will be able to experience the iconic tracks that have defined his career through a ten-piece live band with Judge Jules at the helm. This is Judge Jules: Live.

Jules’s in-depth involvement in many of the recent wave of “classical” dance events, including Gatecrasher, Colours, Club Class and 2019’s Ministry of Sound tour, inspired the decision to take the impact and emotion of the classical shows, but refine the feeling with a wholly new take on live dance music.

With complete creative free rein, Jules curated every element of the performance. Each track has been bespoke reinvented and reworked in a style unique to this live show, featuring a full ten-piece band, with brass, percussion, drums, bass guitar, lead guitar, keyboard, singers, and of course Judge Jules himself. A 90-minute show from start to finish, the music has been selected to represent the breadth and scale of his career.

“There is something about music being played live that never fails to send shivers down your spine – it doesn’t matter what the genre is, hearing a track performed by live musicians on stage is something you cannot replicate in the studio, or even on the best nightclub environment. So, I decided to create my own bespoke versions of my all-time favourite records with a specially selected band. It’s taken a long time to put together, but finally we look forward to taking the “Judge Jules Live” tour on the road. This truly is a new take on the ‘live dance music’ phenomenon and the tour bus starts rolling shortly.” – Judge Jules

This is not a show to sit down for – combining the energy of specially-chosen outstanding musicians with his own inimitable presence behind the decks, Jules will take the audience on a tailor-made journey through dance music with vocals, hands-in-the-air moments and plenty of basslines that’ll take you right back to your very first rave.

With audiences demanding more from dance music and newfound focus on a visual as well as a sonic spectacle, Judge Jules Live is a chance for dance fans to lose themselves in the moment with the kind of experience that you just can’t replicate with a solitary DJ.
